Pétales de Japon Asbl was founded in 2017, 90 years after Luxembourg and Japan started political relations. Our aim is to promote and help spread the Japanese culture as petals driven by the wind from Japan to Luxembourg and neighbouring countries. We welcome not only Japanese, but also nationals from all age.
We look forward to meeting many of you in our activities.

It is a great honor to create our association here in Luxembourg, a country where I have been residing many years and in which I have long wished to contribute to spread genuine Japanese culture. Since 2011 we have organized many cultural events.
I am delighted to share and discover with you all the beautiful culture of my country, hoping to bring people together and foster mutual understanding and respect.

Our association was created by a group of Japanese to make their country better known in Luxembourg. We are particularly focused on introducing the insights of Japanese tradition and also the custom of daily life, which are not easily visible from abroad.
We offer you some discoveries which are simple, authentic and above all, very friendly!
Each year, we present a typical aspect of Japan through a number of lectures and hands-on workshops. In 2017/2018, we introduced the importance of flowers in Japanese culture. But we have many other projects …
Please come and share all your experiences, your adventures of journey together with those who dream to visit this beautiful country! It is also an opportunity to ask questions in French (or in English if you prefer) to our team who will welcome you with open arms.
